There are only eight rooms in the Countryside House, making it ideal for a secluded family reunion or a business retreat. The English-Tudor architectural style sees stonewall sidings, oriel windows, and a rustic, yet elegant style. If you’re on the hunt for a traditional and authentic atmosphere for your rural getaway, Countryside’s charm and proximity to the outdoors is everything you would expect in a country inn.

Serenity and Intimacy: Basha & Lakeside Cottages

If you’re looking for more intimacy in your countryside getaway, a cottage is your best bet. There are two types here at Interlaken: the first is the Basha Cottage, nestled within a thicket of beautiful woodlands, and the Lakeside Cottage located right on the edge of Lake Wononscopomuc.

The cottages are ideal for honeymoons and romantic overnights, with deck-side hot tubs, full kitchens, and stunning interiors. In a cottage, expect the perfect balance of upscale living and countryside comfort.

For You & Your Furry Friends: Woodside House

Many of us just can’t imagine a vacation without bringing along our furry friends. The Woodside House is a single-level building structured with Fido in mind: he’ll have only one door to go through to get into the room, and he’ll be thrilled to see acres upon acres of spacious lawns, just steps away.

In the Lap of Luxury: Penthouse & Townhouse Suites

Believe it or not, refined grandeur and the simplicity of the Connecticut countryside go together like peas and carrots. With a cozy fireplace and loft bedrooms, the homestyle atmosphere of the Townhouse Family Suites is perfect for small family vacations and corporate meetings. Sunnyside is a restored Victorian with as much rustic elegance as the vibrant country garden. The doors to each room are located on a wrap-around porch, complete with Adirondack chairs that overlook a private landscaped yard. The Sunnyside grounds are home to a giant hill, perfect for sledding or rolling down (depending the season of your stay, of course).
