First Looks at The Interlaken Inn

The day of a wedding at The Interlaken Inn is always exciting. Each department is working hard to ensure the day goes smoothly from guest check-ins at the front desk to setting up the wedding tent. Meanwhile, in one of our luxurious suites, couples are getting ready for the most important day of their lives.

The front desk staff always knows it's time to get started when a bridesmaid comes rushing down from the penthouse to make sure the coast is clear for the bride. That means it is almost time for our favorite part: the first look! We love finding out where our couples have decided to have this magical moment, and over the years these three spots have become our favorites:

1. The Lakefront

Of course, doing the first look right at the lake is so beautiful. At their September wedding, Illiana & Alex had the perfect blue-sky backdrop.

2. The Woodside Suite Patio

After spending the day getting ready in The Woodside Suite, Emily met Alex for their first look on the patio. This made for the ultimate private moment for the couple as Woodside is a stand-alone building. This meant the bride didn't have to cut through the lobby or risk being seen at all before her first look!

3. The Lakefront Lawn

As you make your way down to the lakefront, there is a large lawn on the left-hand side. This huge space is perfect for group photos and first looks because it offers a lush green backdrop at all angles. It was a magical moment in September when Nita & Andrew met here for their first look.
