A Perfect Transition from Summer to Fall Wedding

September weddings are always a unique experience because most of the month is still technically summer, but September instantly brings the essence of fall. The couples who get married in September have the challenging choice of creating a summer wedding or a fall wedding- but Iliana & Alex chose both! They perfectly combined fall hues and summer tones to create a beautiful wedding that emulated both seasons.

Starting off with the ceremony, Lavender & Leaf created the perfect arrangements at the back of the ceremony chairs and upfront where Alex & Iliana said their vows. By skipping an arch, their guests got to enjoy the beautiful lakefront view without any obstructions, and their flowers got to be the star of the show!

They also incorporated more fall with burgundy bridesmaids' dresses and a sweet leaf leash & yellow bowtie (matching the groom's tie) for their dog, Fernando!

Following our lakefront ceremonies, guests either hitch a ride on the golf cart or take a leisurely stroll back up to the main property, where cocktail hour is served in the garden. Iliana & Alex picked the perfect bites for the guests that were light and summery, but also included lots of hearty harvest veggies.

In the reception, they tied everything together with their colorful floral centerpieces, stained glass votives, extra string lights, and lots of chunky greenery.

They even incorporated their colorful motif and use of wildflowers into the details of their reception like the guest book and seating chart. The cake was the perfect thing to balance everything out & add a touch of summer with fresh strawberries and blueberries!
